Did you know that Banff National Park was Canada's First National Park? It began when a small piece of land around the Cave and Basin was declared the Banff Hot Springs Reserve in 1885. Two years later a larger park was named Rocky Mountains Park. Although the park boundaries have changed a number of times since then - the beauty and the grandeur have not!
