SUMMER ACTIVITIES IN THE CANADIAN ROCKIES There are so many summer activities to choose from here in the Canadian Rockies. Are you eager to get active? Enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing, golfing, or caving. Are you looking forward to relaxing? How about taking a scenic drive, a carriage drive or a bus tour! The choice is yours. Try something new and make your time here a holiday of a lifetime.
My best advice? Consider the seasonal challenges and always be flexible and prepared. Remember that we are in the mountains, and it can rain or snow at the oddest times (yes, even in summer). We have a saying here: if you don't like the weather - blink! It is true. When the winds comes down over the mountains, they can bring and blow away weather very quickly. Many times I had to give a tour about the mountains, when no mountains were in sight. Don't let that dampen your spirits. The spirit of the mountains is always present! There are plenty of things to do, so read up and make a list of things that interest you. Consider time and cost and plan your holiday wisely.
